The quickest way to a rat's heart is through their stomach...food is their best friend!

I feed my rats a mixture of chicken-based dog food with grains and vegetables, a rat or hamster seed
mix, and cereals; Froot Loops, Cheerios, Puffed Wheat, Puffed Rice, Honey Grams, and Lucky Charms.

I've nicknamed them "the garbage disposals" because they eagerly eat all leftovers. Their favorites
seem to be pastas, chicken, turkey, breads, bagels, eggs, broccolli, cauliflower, grapes, carrots, watermelon,
canteloupe and Pumpkin Pie.

Every few months, I go to the dollar store and buy a few boxes of cookies and crackers. Rats have a
sweet tooth, they love sugary things like vanilla cookies and wafers, oatmeal cookies, and graham crackers.
I also need to have a steady supply of yogurt drops!
