I think pet rats are one of the most highly misjudged of all pets. They are in fact very intelligent,
affectionate, very gentle, and rarely, if ever, bite. In a loving home with a lot of attention, they
establish a very close bond to their human. They learn their names fast and will respond when called.
One of the things that pet rats are known for is being "shoulder riders". They love to perch themselves
up on your shoulder, sometimes even licking your ear.

I think that pet rats are the type of pet that you'll get what you put into them. When you spend alot
of quality time with them, you're attention will not be ignored.

After 6 years of sharing my life with rats, they still amaze me. It's almost unbelievable how much
personality is wrapped up into their little package. Their personalities are endless!
